Immeasurable is the good that has come to me and to my family through the study and application of Christian Science. Over a period of more than thirty-five years there have been many physical healings through Christian Science treatment, for which I am deeply grateful. But most deeply treasured is the overcoming of undesirable traits of character, the result of spiritual understanding of God and man.

In the recognition of my relation to God, my true selfhood as a child of God has been revealed, and this has enabled me many times to realize Love's protecting power when danger was imminent. In business ventures Mind's wise direction has guided members of my family in the pathway of success.

Outstanding in my experience has been nullifying of the fear of death, brought on by an internal disorder and accompanied by great physical discomfort. As we were not able to meet the situation ourselves and the condition was becoming more appalling every moment, my daughter called a practitioner for help. In the interval I appeared to have responded to the arguments of the "last enemy," and when the practitioner arrived every evidence of death was apparent. Standing beside the bed, he declared aloud that God was my Life and that without my consent I could not go through the experience called death. He declared audibly the facts of being and his refusal to be convinced by any physical sense testimony.
