The Mission of Our Periodicals
"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it" (Ps. 68:11). Great, indeed, is the company of those who publish the Word of God as it is revealed to us in Christian Science. We are a great and united company, not an isolated few. We are working and praying with one motive, one hope, one ideal, namely to heal through the Christ Science, or Christian Science.
Our great Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was the first to proclaim to this age the demonstrable Logos, or Word of God. She writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 134), "The true Logos is demonstrably Christian Science, the natural law of harmony which overcomes discord,—not because this Science is supernatural or preternatural, nor because it is an infraction of divine law, but because it is the immutable law of God, good."
On the Rock, Christ, Mrs. Eddy has established The Mother Church. On the Rock of Christ she has also established all its activities, including the Christian Science periodicals. St. Paul declared (I Cor. 3:11), "Other foundation can no man lay that that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
