It is with a feeling of deep gratitude...
It is with a feeling of deep gratitude to our Father-Mother God that I express here my thanks for the blessings which have come to me through a knowledge of Christian Science.
I was six years old when my mother passed on from tuberculosis. At this time I was placed in the care of the board of guardians, where I had to remain for two years. The doctors of the establishment diagnosed my case as they had my mother's, and I became in their eyes a little tubercular girl.
But as Mrs. Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454), "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way." My grandfather and my aunt, having learned what had happened to me, came to find me and took me home with them. Here I found not only my new family, but also a spiritual light which revealed to me the beauty of the teachings of Christian Science and consequently brought the destruction of the error which bound me.
