Feeling that I have for too long...
Feeling that I have for too long failed to express my sincere gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, I now wish to acknowledge my deep gratitude for this wonderful teaching. I knew absolutely nothing of the teachings of this Science, but had for a long time been searching for an understanding of God and had become dissatisfied with the teaching of the orthodox church of which I was a member. Many years ago I turned to this religion for help for a physical difficulty from which I had suffered for a long time and which many doctors had failed to heal. At that time I called on a practitioner for help and purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
When Science and Health was put into my hand, I fairly ate it up. After my third treatment, the practitioner asked me about the physical trouble, and to my surprise I realized that there had been no evidence of it since my first treatment. The practitioner then said she felt the demonstration was made, but I expressed doubt and fear, because it seemed too good to be true. She assured me that God does not require time in order to heal, but said that until I too realized this, she would continue to help me. She asked me to memorize "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of Science and Health, and two days later, while doing this, I was instantaneously healed of a severe cold. I then knew I was free of the other difficulty also and thanked God for this truth.
Later a false appetite that threatened to wreck a home and business was destroyed by Truth, and I shall never cease being grateful for the help and love of the faithful follower of Christ who stood with me in this dark hour and who so understandingly worked to prove the allness of God.
