I am grateful for the healing and protective power received through the study of Christian Science. I was ill with heart trouble and a severe nervous condition. Through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, togcther with the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, my health steadily improved. One day the following statement from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy came to my thought almost like a command (p. 14) : "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor of matter, —and the body will utter no complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find your-self suddenly well. Sorrow is turned into joy when the body is controlled by spiritual Life, Truth, and Love." From that moment I found myself accomplishing things with completc freedom. All discordant conditions were completely healed. A knce injury of long standing was also healed.

When inharmonious business conditions were being experienced, I turned to the Bible and Science and Health for guidance. I was relieved of much false responsibility when I realized that God is the only employer, directing and supplying all our needs, spiritually, abundantly, and now. Within a few days my business was again on a satisfactory basis.

During the last war I was in a position where I needed to find the answer to a seemingly complex problem, and no instructions were given me as to how to proceed. The thought came very clearly that I should visit the captain of one of the ships involved. He was known to be almost unapproachable, and fear crept into my thought. However, I decided to be obedient and made the visit.
