KNOW THE TRUTH

Man is the expression of God; hence he must embody all the attributes of God. He cannot manifest a single quality unlike his Maker. Because God is Love, man is lovely, loving, and lovable; because God is Mind, he is intelligent and wise; because God is Life, he exists and is active; because God is Truth, he can express no error.

Any seeming deviation in the characteristics of man from the exact expression of Deity is not a fact, but merely an illusion of material sense. Hatred, envy, dishonesty, lust, lack, are not in the realm of the real and do not touch or condition man. They are but figments of the so-called mortal mind, which views man from the standpoint of its own materiality and imperfection and calls him mortal, whereas he is spiritual and perfect.

This statement is one of the cornerstones of spiritual living, for a knowledge of Truth brings freedom from want, disease, and inharmony of every name and nature. How may I know the truth? What is the process of knowing the truth? What must I do to know the truth? These have been the questions of mankind for centuries, even before that tragic day when Pontius Pilate asked Jesus (John 18:38), "What is truth?"
