THE PIONEERS

In childhood days we dreamt of pioneers
And longed to follow in their rugged ways,
And we still can. The passage of the years
Should always find us eager to advance
Along the upward way, new trails to blaze.
Our new-old path lies clear before us now.
The Way-shower's eternal vigilance
Has marked the trail. We follow where he leads.
His dearest followers have shown us how
To guard the path and build our strong stockades.
Our loving Father meets our daily needs.
Wherever we may be, His love pervades.
