Hamption, Iowa (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Hampton, held dedication services for their new church building on Sunday, September 28, 1947. The first service, held in the morning, was repeated in the afternoon and evening.

Early last year a decision was reached by the group of Hampton Scientists to undertake a building project, after a preliminary survey disclosed that it would be possible to finance the project. A site location on First Street S. E., between Second and Third Avenues, was purchased, and an architect was commissioned to prepare plans and specifications.

Work was started in May, and the new edifice was built and fully equipped within a year from the date of the decision to build. The first service was held in it on Sunday, March 9, 1947. The building is beautifully equipped and furnished.—Times.
