Before taking up the study of Christian Science, I was afflicted with blood poisoning which threatened my life. Although I seemed to get over the worst part of this condition, I was far from healed. Even though at this time I was having medical treatment, I still somehow felt that only God could help me. With this thought in mind I prayed daily and earnestly for light. Christian Science came to me as a result of this prayer.

I was led to take from one of the free literature distribution boxes a copy of the Sentinel, and from this I learned of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This book, studied in conjunction with the Bible, has taught me that God is Love and that man is His image and likeness.

After I had had several years of earnest study, the picture of blood poisoning presented itself again in a most alarming form. I called a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was lovingly given, and a permanent healing resulted.
