Seventeen years ago, when Christian Science was presented to me, I was suffering from a nervous breakdown. I was in a very weak state mentally and physically. I was unable to sleep, cared little about food, and found walking a great exertion.

Those nearest and dearest did all they possibly could to assist me to regain my health, but instead of my improving, each day weakness and depression were more in evidence. One afternoon shortly after the family physician had left, saying" that no more could be done for me, a friend called and, realizing my condition, talked about God and the healing power of Christian Science and very kindly lent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I shall never forget the wonderful ray of light which appeared to shine around me after I had opened this precious book and read on page I that everything is possible to God and that "desire is prayer." These statements gave me much comfort and peace and a glimmer of the healing power of God's law, which I was informed is operating today as in Jesus' time.

This friend took me to a Christian Science practitioner, who was asked for treatment, and arrangements were made for a Science nurse to stay with me in my home. These two grand people patiently and lovingly helped me for six weeks, after which the demonstration was made, and I was restored to health.
