The Attica Ledger-Tribune
Attica, Indiana (First Church).
The edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Attica, was formally dedicated on Sunday, May 2, 1948, in connection with the regular morning service, when the following historical sketch of the organization was read from the desk: "Christian Science Society, Attica, was organized in the early fall of 1912, interest in Christian Science having been created by the healing of two residents of the community.
"The first services were held on October 29, 1912, in a room which was rented in a residence. Here by-laws were adopted and signed by twelve members.
