Scientific Forgiveness

Until all thought of hurt is blotted out
We cannot truly say we have forgiven;
And if there still remains a single doubt
That aught but good was ever real, we need
To pray for patience and humility
And greater love for God, that we may know
That man is God's idea, forever free.

While thus we pray, we are again at peace;
No thought of hurt remains—no tears are shed.
For we shall see our brother as he is;
And in this light of Truth he finds release!
