It is with a heart deeply aware of all the blessings that Christian Science has brought me that I wish to give this testimony.

I heard of Christian Science over five years ago when I was in despair as to where to turn next for help. For over five years previously I had been in constant pain, just managing to get through each day. I had tried doctors, herbalists, and homeopaths, but without any relief. Finally a friend gave up her home and came to live with me, hoping that her love and care might restore me. But even this was no real solution.

Then I was appointed to a new school and discovered that one of the staff was a Christian Scientist. I asked her what students of Christian Science believed in, and then decided to investigate it as a last hope. I borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy from the public library and became utterly absorbed in it. I read every available moment and then asked a practitioner for help. I knew that I had found the truth of being.
