For some time I have been wanting to send in a testimony to express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science. I should like to tell of a healing that took place about twenty years ago. One night the back door of the car was slammed shut on the middle finger of my right hand, and it was practically cut off through the first joint.

When I arrived home a member of the family insisted that I have a doctor take care of the finger. A Christian Science practitioner was called first. After an examination the doctor said the end of the finger must come off, but the practitioner and I insisted that this was not necessary. The doctor agreed to try to save it, but warned of a number of things such as a stiff or crooked joint and gangrene.

I shall always be grateful to the practitioner, who faithfully handled every material law, realizing the one and only law of God. I went to the doctor's office to have him dress the finger, and on unwrapping it he called his wife and his office girl in to see. He said, "This is a Christian Science finger; I only cleaned and dressed it!" This finger is entirely normal.
