Evening and Morning
In
Genesis, the chart of revelation
Groups evening and then morning as the day;
Make this your calendar of demonstration,
Make this the rising sequence of your way.
Name not obstructing problem as reversal,
Nor fear that day is nullified by night;
Each victory uncovers for dispersal
Dark's next assignments until all is light.
At problem's threshold, poise your thought with zest
To watch, to work, for day's first small beginning;
Then follow through as Jacob did till blessed.
And thus, obedient to Truth's clear winning,
From light to light let upward path be drawn
By each successive triumphing of dawn.
