Thou art.
Above all simile or metaphor of groping human thought
Thou dost exist—essential Life.
Before, beyond, embracing all this teeming present,
Thou dost persist—the ever-present.
Creative knower of the infinite, eternal plan,
Thy perfect purpose is revealed in man.

Because Thou art, I am.
And now similitude:
Surely Thy child must be
Like unto Thee.
