Church Dedications

Gloversville, New York (First Church).

The formal dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Gloversville, was held on Sunday, August 11, 1946, at the church edifice, corner of Kingsboro and First Avenues. It marked substantial progress for the Science church, first established in this city nearly half a century ago. A morning and an afternoon service were held.

The Gloversville church has an interesting historical record which dates back to 1898, when initial steps were taken to establish a Christian Science Society here.
