When Christian Science came to our family many years ago, none of us could foresee the tremendous influence for good which it was to bring to every member of the family.

My mother's first healing was of sick headaches. The practitioner had made a friendly call and, finding my mother in distress, asked if she might help her. My mother was healed in that one treatment and never again had a sick headache. She was later healed of heart trouble. My father was healed of hemorrhages of the lungs and enjoyed many years of health and activity, when the doctors had said that he only had a short time to live.

Other healings in Christian Science which occurred during the years were those of whooping cough, measles, scarlet fever, constipation, bowel trouble, a broken hip, and paralysis. Also fear of infection and contagion was greatly lessened. With the help of a practitioner during our early experience in Christian Science, three members of the family were healed of smallpox when an epidemic broke out in our community. No ill effects followed.
