"Out of the abundance of the...
"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" (Matt. 12:34).
I am glad to say, with my wife, that we who receive the benefits of Christian Science are truly grateful that God sent His only begotten Son to teach us "the way, the truth, and the life." His lifework was accomplished. He said of his going away that he would send us another Comforter, and that "if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you" (John 16:7). We are also grateful that our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was so spiritually prepared that she was able to reveal to the world the Comforter, Christian Science.
I am thankful to be able to understand a part of this great truth which is blessing mankind. I have been healed of bronchial pneumonia. I was also lifted from a bed of extreme suffering from lumbago within thirty hours, so that I was able to return to my work. No one could notice that I had been through this suffering. Just recently, while on my way to the office, I was healed of the symptoms of a cold by realizing the truth contained in these words which I had read just before leaving home (I Pet. 1:16): "Be ye holy; for I am holy."
