"TURN YOURSELVES"

As students of Christian Science, most of us are confronted at one time or another with the mental argument that to solve some problem at hand, especially if it appears to be a rather knotty one, we must attack it vigorously and grapple with it as though it were actual. This often results in our unwittingly giving undue recognition and importance to the very error we wish destroyed.

However, the Bible shows us a clear-cut and simple way of overcoming any discordant circumstance: away of calm and poise, of dominion and triumph, irrevocable and eternally effectual. Note these dynamic words (Ezek. 18: 31, 32): "Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit.... Turn yourselves, and live ye."

A dictionary definition of the word transgression is "sin." We must cast away all our transgressions or sins; we must rid our consciousness of every whispering suggestion that sickness, lack, unemployment, unhappiness, homelessness, loneliness, or fear is real; we must emphatically and conclusively reject every argument that we ever have been, are now, or ever can be identified with any of these conditions, for they are, each and all, false beliefs, myths, and have nothing to do with God's creation, of which man is the highest representation, even His image and likeness.
