MAN'S ETERNAL SAFETY IS DIVINELY ASSURED

Many individuals are alarmed by the increase of accidents in this confused period of postwar adjustment. The situation offers a challenge to the alert student of Christian Science which he cannot afford to ignore.

From daily study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we have learned the spiritual facts about man's God-ordained safety and security which, when practiced, will help to solve this problem. Spiritual man, the child of God, good, knows no danger or fear of evil in any form. As God's reflection he is eternally immune from the mortal beliefs of accident, sickness, sin, poverty, failure, or frustration. Now, the true selfhood of you and me is none other than immortal, spiritual, and perfect. We need, however, to know this truth for ourselves and others, and to know also that all of God's children are held forever safe and secure in the everlasting arms of divine Love.

So-called mortal man, who believes that he lives, moves, and has his being in a physical body and exists in a world of good and evil, is not the man God made in His image and likeness. Mortal man has no more substance, permanence, identity, or reality than the shadow cast by a tree. He is far from being the real man, the idea of Mind.
