THE UNFOLDING

Moment of peace, glimpse of eternity,
This is the fruit of being one with Thee.
Here in the sacred sanctuary of prayer
I feel Thy presence and forsake all care.

Though the demands of mortal sense may press,
I dwell in Thy encircling loveliness,
Seeing Thy power revealed renewedly
In prayerful glimpses of reality.

I have found peace where tumult raged, and strife,
In the unfolding sense of God as Life.
Like him who wrote, "It shall not come nigh thee,"
I have known peace and glimpsed eternity.
