Signs of the Times

True Refreshment

John Marvin Rast
The Atlanta Constitution, Georgia

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up" (Ps. 5:3).

Henry Drummond once said: "Five minutes spent in the companionship of Christ ever morning—aye, two minutes, if it is face to face and heart to heart—will change the whole day." Poise and power are achievements. They come by persistent following of the prayer route. More than surface thought is required. Our inmost impulses and desires must be directed to divine consciousness and divine praise. Wise are we indeed when we learn where our strength lies.
