I am very grateful for the understanding I have gained through the study of Christian Science and for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who through her untiring faithfulness made it possible for the world to have access to this practical truth, so that we today may prove it, as those in Jesus' time did, in our everyday experiences. For the past four years I have earnestly relied on this Science. My first healing was of constipation. This healing came about through my studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I was healed of other difficulties by depending absolutely on the truth of being as suited in our textbook and in the other writings of our Leader

Intestinal influenza and sinus trouble were healed by my own metaphysical work. I was working to overcome a cold when symptoms of sinus trouble, appeared. I was not afraid and did not desire material remedies, for materia medica had been used with no satisfaction in previous cases, before I took up Science. I continued reading, knowing that I could do my part and God would do the rest. I was suffering, and the thought of calling a practitioner came to me. Instead I retired with the thought, "I have done all that I know how to do." My housework was kept up; my reading continued at every opportunity. I knew when the healing came, even though the material evidence was still the same. How I know this, I cannot explain. The following day the demonstration was complete.

I am very grateful for this victory and most of all for the truths that were made so clear to me during this time, giving me increased understanding and faith with which to work out greater problems. Influenza and an infected ingrowing toenail were overcome with the help of a practitioner.
