After more than twenty-five...

After more than twenty-five years of prosperity and good health through the beneficence of Christian Science, I must confess that I have never made an investment that has paid such large dividends. I have been healed of so many physical, mental, and financial discords that I hardly know where to begin to tell of them. These healings include those of muscular rheumatism and an arm that appeared to be dislocated, which was healed overnight; also the overcoming of the tobacco and social drinking habits and many other errors.

I was sick and my family was sick; I was without work and without hope. A friend who was a Christian Scientist advised me to go to a certain address in the hope of getting employment. I took her advice, and I am still working for this firm. Truly the words of Malachi (3:10) have been proved in my experience: "Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

I was so uplifted by Christian Science that even my family was liberated from bondage. In a short time we joined The Mother Church and a branch church. About this time my wife was healed of a severe attack of influenza. Our daughter, when four years of age, was healed of what appeared to be spinal meningitis. Some years later this same daughter was attacked by St. Vitus's dance in a severe form. Neighbors saw the condition and suggested many material remedies, but we relied on Christian Science, and in six weeks, with the help of a practitioner, she was beautifully healed.
