Oh, Where Is Understanding?

Where shall wisdom be found,
and what is the place thereof?
Jewels of gold shall not buy it,
nor rubies be enough.

Oh, where is understanding,
and where shall it be found?
The heavens do not contain it,
nor the waters under the ground.

With God alone is wisdom;
He knows the place thereof.
The willing heart shall find it,
and love is price enough.

With God is understanding.
Oh, seek it constantly;
for all of worth in heaven and earth
is found therein to be.
