It is with much joy that I write...
It is with much joy that I write of my gratitude for the blessings that have come to me and to my family through the study and application of Christian Science.
My first healing came from the seed of truth planted in thought while I was reading copies of The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel that my sister left whenever she visited me. She had been healed of chronic ills and the effect of an operation she had undergone years before. Because of bitter antagonism to Science in my home, we talked privately, and I read the literature only when alone. As I read, I always felt a sense of security in knowing something about God and about man's relationship to Him.
