I have attached great significance...

I have attached great significance to my early experience in Christian Science to which my wife has referred.

I had prejudged Science, as many do. But good sense told me that if I were going to expose its fallacies, I should first have to make a thorough study of it. The study was a critical one. It moved back and forth between the Christian Science textbook and the Bible. I discovered how completely they were correlated. Christian Science was not exposed as a fraud, as I thought it would be, but my ignorance of it was.

While I discarded my glasses when they were broken, I was not wholly aware of the fact that a Christian Science healing had taken place. When it dawned upon me that this was so, God, His universe, and man in their true spiritual nature were revealed to me. First there was insight, then sight as an inevitable result in my human experience.

Other convincing experiences down through the years have confirmed faith and made the way deeply satisfying.—William G. Hale, Los Angeles, California.
