"And God said, Let there be...

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light" (Gen. 1:3). I humbly offer my testimony in gratitude for and praise of this light of Truth.

During the first World War, I was staying with a dear friend who had been suffering greatly from a painful growth on her face. The doctors to whom she had been taken did not want to operate, as they said it would result in disfigurement. It was then that someone spoke to her of Christian Science. A practitioner was called, and five minutes after her words, "All is well," the healing commenced. In three days no sign of the trouble remained. This made a great impression on me, and on my return home I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. But though I read it through, I laid it aside afterward.

Some years later, after my marriage, I was in indifferent health, so I got my books out and began to study in earnest. At the birth of my second child, several serious difficulties were overcome with the help of a practitioner. I should like to mention one healing in particular that I have had.
