The Heavenly Way

Great longing surged within my heart
To find the true and heavenly way.
And then I learned that God is Love,
That he who loves goes not astray.

To help and love one's fellow man,
To see him as God's perfect child.
Is traveling the heavenly way.
Wherein walk none with hate beguiled.

God's angels go with him who loves.
To guide, to comfort and sustain.
And Love's all-power keeps such a one
From tear, deep loneliness, or pain.
