For the past five years I have been a student of Christian Science and during that time I have gained some understanding of this wonderful, healing truth. For the problems overcome through the application of this Science I am profoundly grateful.

On page 396 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read: "The refutation of the testimony of material sense is not a difficult task in view of the conceded falsity of this testimony. The refutation becomes arduous, not because the testimony of sin or disease is true, but solely on account of the tenacity of belief in its truth, due to the force of education and the overwhelming weight of opinions on the wrong side,—all teaching that the body suffers, as if matter could have sensation." This tenacity of belief in my own experience, due to the force of education on the wrong side, has been slowly but surely yielding to Truth, to the positive fact that man made in the image and likeness of God is perfect and harmonious. For this improvement in health and character I am most grateful.

On several occasions, in working out a business problem, I was told by a practitioner that my well-being, activity, and future were not dependent on chance or change or mortal man, but rather were guided, directed, and governed by Mind alone; also, that man's place is already prepared for him, and that one idea cannot fill the place of another idea.
