For over twenty years we have enjoyed the privilege of having Christian Science in our home, during which time our family of five has relied upon this truth for healing. We have seen the operation of the law of God in the solution of problems of every kind— physical, mental, financial. The protecting power of Truth, as embodied in Christian Science, has been recognized and applied time and again.

The experience of painless childbirth came to me soon after I began the study of Christian Science. This proof of God's power was so remarkable that it left no doubt in the mind of my husband, who knew how I had suffered during the births of two other children under the conditions imposed by belief in materia medica.

One of our first healings was that of our daughter, who, when a baby, became severely ill with pneumonia. The physical evidence was alarming, and I have ever since been grateful for the implicit faith that held me to absolute reliance on divine Science. The child was completely healed in less than a week. The words of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in Science and Health (p. 410), were a sustaining influence through this experience: "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love."
