The Indianapolis Star

Indianapolis, Indiana (Fourth Church).

Fourth Church of Christ. Scientist, Indianapolis, at Pleasant Run Parkway and Butler Avenue, was dedicated on Sunday, August 26. 1945. Services were held in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Fourth Church was organized and recognized as a branch of The Mother Church, on June 7, 1922, when church and Sunday school services were held, and a Reading Room was maintained in Irvington Masonic Temple.

Negotiations for the present site were completed on July 3, 1924, ground was broken for the new building on March 23. 1936, and the first services were held in it on August 23.
