I have had so many blessings through the study and application of that 'which I understand of Mrs. Eddy's revelation of God and His creation that I feel it is about time for me to share some of these blessings with my fellow man.

Many times I made attempts to free myself from enslavement to tobacco, which had bound me for a very long period. But I had no success until I had gained some understanding of the truth, as taught by our Leader in her textbook. Science and Health. Within two months after I first attended a Christian Science service I had learned "the scientific statement of being," as given by Mrs. Eddy on page 468 of Science and Health. Mrs. Eddy also says on page 463 of the same book, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I held steadfastly to these truths, and I received a complete and instantaneous healing of this error, which I had held to for forty years.

I have had other healings, too, through the help of practitioners. The use of strong drink and of foul language has been eliminated through the application of the truth.
