Christian Science Committee on Publication for the Canal Zone Reports

No statement has been published which needed to be corrected. In fact, the staffs of the two daily newspapers which are published in the Republic of Panama and which are widely circulated in the Canal Zone have cooperated with this Committee at all times in a very friendly manner.

Undoubtedly, the Christian Scientists of this locality have noted the generous space allotted by the press to the church notices. This increase in the allotment of space is much appreciated. The Committee in choosing the weekly Lesson-Sermon excerpts, has made an effort to reach the thought of what is called the average newspaper reader by supplying "the sincere milk of the word" (I Pet. 2:2). Besides the regular Thanksgiving services, to which space was freely allotted in the newspapers, extra announcements were published of the memorial service for the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

We are most grateful that both newspapers published the five-hundred-word excerpts supplied by this Committee after lectures. Your Committee used many ways of present-day advertising, and this helped to bring about the gratifying attendance which was evidenced at each lecture.
