Obeying the Commandments
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Fred was a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School. His class had been studying the Ten Commandments. The last lesson had been about not stealing, and Fred had thought to himself, "God doesn't love a thief, so I'll never steal anything." The next day at school, he looked across the aisle at John and thought to himself, "I saw him steal something last week, so he doesn't keep the Ten Commandments."
Later, when he was in another part of the room, he caught sight of John reaching over to take his new pencil. As soon as he had a chance, he called, "John, where is my pencil?"
John replied, "I have all I can do to keep track of my own pencils without watching yours."
