Gloucester, England (Society).

Christian Science Society, Gloucester, dedicated its building, the Rechabite Hall, Cromwell Street, on Sunday, July 8, 1945.

The building was purchased in December, 1938. A large congregation attended the dedication service, and heard the history of the society in Gloucester. It began in 1937, when twenty-five students of Christian Science met at 135 Barton Street, and it was decided to start services in the city.

The services were held in the Spa Pump Room, and the group became a Christian Science Society recognized as a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 15, 1938.
