I have had so many healings...

I have had so many healings and such great blessings in Christian Science that I should like to share some of my experiences with others.

The last day of the year 1897, I had my first proof of the healing power of Christian Science when I turned to this glorious truth for help for my little daughter, who had a very high fever. I asked a neighbor who was a Christian Scientist to treat the child. At the time, I was suffering from an organic disease for which I had been having medical treatment at times for several years. After I turned to God through Christian Science, the baby was healed instantly, and I had an instantaneous healing myself. What a glorious revelation this experience was to me! God was indeed my "refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps.46:1).

Then followed a wonderful unfolding of the meaning of the Bible through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I had always loved the Bible, but much of it I could not understand. Science and Health is surely the "key" to the Scriptures; one verse after another of the sacred Scriptures was illumined in this new light. I read every minute I could, often far into the night.
