So much good has come into my life since I began the study of Christian Science that I desire to express my gratitude for this wonderful religion, which is available In all who, seeking to know God, are prepared to cast aside their old beliefs.

About sixteen years ago, when my life was most unhappy because of financial difficulties, loneliness, and lack of success in my work on the land, I prayed earnestly that my burdens would be lifted. I struggled against the thought that God was not loving, and as I determined to hold fast to the fact that God loves His creation, I repeated the words of the Master (Luke 22:42). "Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

Within a few days Christian Science was introduced to me by two friends with whom I had recently become acquainted. Previous to this I had never heard of this Science. These friends lent me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Almost from the first moment that I started to read this book I knew that here was the answer to my prayer and that I should be led safely if I walked in the path set forth in it.
