Signs of the Times
The Bible
The Dayton Herald Dayton, Ohio
Christians are too prone to say that they believe the Scriptures, and thereupon brush them aside from their daily living.
Some of us have delighted in the verse, "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee;" and then have gloomed around considerably about the state of the world. "Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory," we say in concerted prayer; and immediately express our doubts about the future. Not that we should shut our eyes to evil; ... rather we should annihilate it through Biblically inspired strength.
