Excerpts from Letters Concerning Christian Science Wartime Activities

[From the Parent of a Serviceman to a Christian Science Wartime Worker]

I am so happy and so grateful that my son had the opportunity and pleasure of meeting you. He no doubt told you that he, myself, and my younger son, who is at the present time serving in the Seabees in the South Pacific, have all been interested in Christian Science over a period of years, but never really got our teeth into it until this last year, when material conditions have been so drastic. We turned to it as a drowning man grasps at any solid object. My sons have had wonderful proof of God's care and protection. We are so grateful. It has welded a bond of understanding that did not exist before.
