Although I have been a student...

Although I have been a student of Christian Science for a number of years, I have not heretofore availed myself of the privilege of expressing publicly my gratitude for the many blessings and healings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science.

My gratitude goes out to our beloved Leader. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the spirituality which enabled her to discover the Christ-healing, for her unselfed love in making her discovery available to all men through the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and for her wise leadership of the movement, providing for its every need through the Manual of The Mother Church.

One of my first healings in Christian Science was that of dislocation of a bone in my wrist, which occurred while I was playing tennis. At this time I had just begun the study of Christian Science and was not a member of the church. I was told by a medical physician that the bone would have to be removed, as it would never go back into its proper place. The condition was discussed with a Christian Science practitioner, who assured me that the bone would not have to be removed. The work was taken up, and in a very short time the bone was in place, where it has remained, although I have continued to play tennis. So perfectly was the healing accomplished that I did not know when it took place.
