On page 261 of Science and Health...

On page 261 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes, "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts." This statement has been proved true many times in my experience.

Some years ago, I found myself in need of a better position. I was led by divine Mind to apply at an office which was in the process of organization and in need of someone with my particular experience. In a short time I was given the position, and was able to hold it creditably. Then mortal mind whispered that I was secure in the position and would remain so. Time passed and there was no progress made. I became discouraged, and endeavored over a period of years to obtain a transfer to another city. At the time I felt my motive was right, but could not understand why a transfer did not materialize.

Then came the awakening. About two years ago I realized the error of outlining, and decided to turn wholeheartedly to God, trusting His guidance. I became willing to remain where I was as long as it was necessary, knowing that if God wanted me to move, He would move me at the right time.
