I became interested in Christian Science after my son was healed of a severe illness which, according to the statement of the attending physician, had been caused by measles. He said there was no more help for our boy. The afternoon of the day on which the physician made this statement, there came a knock on my door. I found a dear friend, whom I admired very much, although in my ignorance I had wondered why she was a Christian Scientist. My friend said that she wanted to help me, but that she felt she had only two things to offer—one was her physical services and the other was Christian Science. I told her that I was desperate, and would try anything that would help the boy. I turned to Christian Science, and he was healed. I then had the privilege of rearing that boy, and he is now the father of a fine son.

I myself was healed of a heart condition which was said to be very serious, and I have enjoyed many years of happy and active life. During this time we have experienced many other healings, including those of broken bones, children's diseases, lack, a false sense of home, grief, and many other inharmonious conditions. We have certainly proved true the statement that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."

For the wonderful illumination Christian Science gives us of the Bible, which we study each day together with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I am profoundly grateful.
