I should like to express gratitude...

I should like to express gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.

Throughout the air raids on London, both our dwelling and business premises were wonderfully protected. At one time we had eighteen incendiaries around our business premises, but the only one to penetrate our buildings checked its flight on a beam and fell harmlessly into a cistern. Although fires raged near us, the flames were put out before they reached us. Bomb damage ringed us, but did not touch us seriously, and when a near-by two-ton land mine exploded, not one of our staff of forty was even scratched, despite shattered glass and falling ceilings and shutter bars and bolts flying through the air.

After the passing on of the head of our companies when his deputy was away in the Forces, strong differences among executives arose, but with the wise and consecrated help of a practitioner, and consequent spiritual growth on my part, the error destroyed itself in a most wonderful way and without necessitating broken relationships.
