I am reminded of a very beautiful healing that took place in our home over two years ago. It brought so much joyous gratitude to us that I should like to pass it on to others who are working out their problems through the study and application of Christian Science.

My young daughter of high school age complained of a breaking out on her body which was very irritating and quite painful. Work in Christian Science was taken up immediately, but no results were evidenced. She was embarrassed by having to dress and undress in the gymnasium shower rooms, where others saw the condition and remarked about it. The next day it was reported to the school nurse, who insisted that she see a doctor.

Upon examination, the doctor pronounced the condition to be shingles. He started to write out a prescription, but I thanked him and refused it, explaining that all I wished of him was to know if I should keep my daughter out of school. I told him I would take care of it in my own way. He asked what I was going to do, so I told him we would handle it through Christian Science treatment. He was very kind, and said he hoped that it would be healed soon, but indicated that the consequences would be serious if it were allowed to spread.
