The Immediacy of Accomplishment
Delay between a right purpose and its accomplishment is common to human experience. But to pure Mind there is no delay. The Mind that is All gives to every right purpose immediate accomplishment. Mind's omnipotence, omniscience, and omniaction ensure this.
Delay in accomplishment results from the belief of mortals that they are hampered by lack of knowledge, lack of resources, by opposing physical forces, circumstances, or persons. These arguments assert that delay and frustration intervene to hinder the accomplishment of what absolute intelligence says should be and can be done forthwith.
Human progress has lessened the delay in transportation and communication. Improved manufacturing methods are shortening the time required to make what we need. Geophysics is lessening the delay in finding the earth's minerals. It is reported that in the near future delay in cooking is likely to be greatly reduced by the use of electronic tubes. A steak will broil in three seconds; a cake will bake in two; eggs will boil in the wink of an eye. A home will be quickly dusted by magnetic devices. Why have we not done such things before? Only because human thought has not understood the forces that are here to bring purpose and accomplishment nearer together.
