"The certainty of the words of truth"

It was the mission of the Master to reveal the allness of Spirit. But material, mesmeric theories have so darkened human consciousness that many in bewilderment still repeat the age-old query of Pilate, "What is truth?"

The truth of being is recorded in the first chapter of Genesis, wherein it is stated that man is made in God's own image and likeness; that God made all that was made, and that His creation was 'very good." In the textbook of Christian Science, 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes (pp. 109, 110): "The three great verities of Spirit, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience,—Spirit possessing all power, filling all space, constituting all Science,— contradict forever the belief that matter can be actual. These eternal verities reveal primeval existence as the radiant reality of God's creation, in which all that He has made is pronounced by His wisdom good."

A radical and revolutionary statement? Not at all. Neither Spirit, God, nor His qualities, such as integrity, purity, love, and the like, can be seen, heard, or felt with the material senses. They must be apprehended through spiritual sense. In so far as individuals and nations understand and utilize these Godlike qualities they cease to express hatred and discord and proportionately experience that harmony which is man's true heritage.
