Fourteen years ago, after being treated by medical doctors, osteopaths, and chiropractors, I turned to Christian Science for help. A practitioner treated me, and I spent hours each day in the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. As I learned to apply the truths we are taught, despair gave way to hope. Gradually discouragement, disappointment, and fear of others' thoughts yielded, and I was healed of extreme nervousness and an inflamed gall bladder.

Headaches that usually lasted four or five weeks were healed as I overcame resentment toward relatives who had treated me unkindly.

From childhood I had attended an orthodox church. Being the daughter of a clergyman. I was well grounded in the beliefs and teachings of that church. However, since earliest recollections I had been dissatisfied and puzzled because of the inconsistencies I detected in its doctrine. Therefore, my joy was unbounded when I began to study Christian Science, for all my questions were answered, old doubts were cast aside, and I grew in faith and understanding.
