Sunday School Observations
Little children sometimes find it difficult to understand why they cannot see God with their eyes. When I have told some of them that God is everywhere, they look all around to see if they can see Him. When they ask where God is, I often answer them in this manner: "Your mother and daddy love you, don't they? Can you see that love?" The response is, "No." "But you feel it do you not?" I ask. "Yes," they reply.
I also tell them that God is Love. He sends them angel thoughts and they can hear His message if they listen. In this way they learn that God is close to them and ever ready to give them good thoughts to heal, to guide, and to keep them from all harm.
Prayer is a subject we discuss many times, especially in connection with the Bible stories which include healings of sin, sickness, or death. They love to join in the Lord's Prayer, which they have learned one or two lines at a time.
